Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and your rights over your own data

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who We Are

CCTaxis.net is operated by Colm Concannon, based in Ireland. Colm Concannon is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any question about how your data is handled, contact us using the details in Section 9.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what we need to deliver the course, keep your account secure, and meet our own legal obligations.

When you take a free trial

No account or personal details are required to try free trial questions. If you choose to leave your name and contact details on the trial page so we can follow up, we store those along with the date and your marketing consent choice.

When you register and pay for a course

  • Name, email address and phone number โ€” to create your account, deliver access, and contact you about your course
  • Payment โ€” your card details are entered directly into Stripe's own secure payment form and never pass through or get stored on our servers. We only receive confirmation that payment succeeded, along with the amount and a Stripe reference
  • GDPR/Terms consent โ€” the date and time you agreed to our Terms & Conditions at checkout

While you use the course

  • Study activity โ€” questions answered, practice/mock exam scores, and course progress, so you can track your own progress and pick up where you left off
  • Device and security information โ€” your IP address, an approximate device fingerprint, device type/name, and browser, recorded each time you access the course
  • Approximate location โ€” city and country (not a precise address), derived from your IP address

The device and location information above exists for one reason: to detect and prevent account sharing, which is against our Terms & Conditions and, if left unchecked, would push up the price of the course for everyone. It is not used to track you for advertising, and we do not build a marketing profile from it.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with the following processors, each of whom is contractually required to protect it:

  • Stripe (payment processing) โ€” stripe.com/ie/privacy
  • Resend (sending account and course emails) โ€” resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
  • ipwho.is / ipapi.co (IP-address geolocation, used only for the security purpose described in Section 2) โ€” your IP address is sent to these services to look up an approximate city/country
  • Our hosting provider โ€” the servers that store this data are hosted in a data centre operated by our hosting provider, under their own security and data-handling terms

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook/Meta pixels, advertising trackers, or any other third-party analytics or advertising service on this site.

5. How Long We Keep It

  • Account and study data โ€” kept for as long as your account is active, since there is no fixed expiry on course access; deleted on request (see Section 7)
  • Payment records โ€” kept for 7 years, as required by Irish Revenue rules for business records
  • Security/device logs โ€” kept for as long as reasonably needed to investigate account-sharing concerns, and reviewed periodically
  • Trial contact details โ€” kept until you ask us to delete them, or until it's clear you're no longer interested

6. Cookies

We use only essential, functional cookies needed to run the site โ€” for example, keeping you signed in and remembering that a device has already been verified. These do not require your consent under GDPR because the site cannot work properly without them, so we do not show a cookie consent banner. We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access โ€” request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification โ€” ask us to correct inaccurate details
  • Erasure โ€” ask us to delete your account and personal data (some data, like payment records, must be kept longer to meet legal obligations)
  • Portability โ€” receive your data in a portable format
  • Object โ€” object to how we process your data, including the security monitoring described in Section 2
  • Withdraw consent โ€” where we rely on your consent (e.g. trial follow-up contact), withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission Ireland (dataprotection.ie), our lead supervisory authority.

8. Children

Our courses are aimed at adults applying for an SPSV driver licence, which itself requires holding a full driving licence โ€” this course is not designed for or marketed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

9. Contact & Changes

For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, contact:

We may update this policy from time to time as the platform evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do โ€” for any material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to let existing students know directly.
